When writing articles on your WordPress blog you want them to be indexed by search engines quickly and why not get a ranking faster.
But this is not always the case, because search engines choose when to visit your website to index it and especially whether to rank your articles or not.
However, there are some tricks you can use to let search engines know that you have updated your content.
And as a bonus you get a ranking faster, too.
This is something that I’ve been putting aside for a while now, but I managed to find the time and write a review about the StudioPress Genesis Theme Framework (aff) for WordPress from Studiopress.
At the beginning, it was intended to be just a tutorial on how to install and upgrade the Genesis Theme, but then I decided to highlight some of it main features, too.
Ultimately, I ended up writing the main reasons why you should choose the Genesis Theme, highlighted some of its main features and added a small tutorial about installing and upgrading the theme.
Have you ever asked yourself how to add a link or a specific category to the menu of your WordPress blog? Especially if you are not using a paid theme like Thesis, Genesis or Headway (aff links) which tend to simplify things?
If you did, this tutorial will guide you through the process of creating custom menus in WordPress 3.0. But if you don’t have WordPress 3.0 by now, I would strongly recommend you to upgrade, because there are some awesome new features, bug fixes and security enhancements.
