Dropbox – Your magic pocket

by

I just recommended this great application to Dawn Kotzer and thought you should also find out more about it.

Dropbox is a web and desktop based application which syncronise files across multiple computers.

With Dropbox you can backup your files and not worry about them anymore. It let’s you share files with anyone in no time and it’s accessible on every computer you install it and online.

Before you decide to sign up you can take a tour of Dropbox or read the full list of features.

Once you sign up for an account, you get 2GB of space free of charge. However, if you decide that 2GB is just not enough for you there are two additional options: 50Gb for $9.99/month or 100Gb for $19.99/month.

Additionally you get 250MB for every referral you send or step you complete in your account (like adding a second computer to your account). This in a limit of 3GB 8GB. So you can easily get 5GB 10GB free of charge from Dropbox.

Now, if you want to get an extra 250MB to your account when you sign up, use my referral link. This will give both of us an extra of 250MB. Otherwise, just go to http://www.dropbox.com and sign up for a free account.

Dropbox works great on Windows, Mac, Linux, and iPhone.

I’m totally in love with my Dropbox and don’t know how I managed before I had it. I did upgrade to a paid version, because I save almost everything to my Dropbox so I can access my files from my desktop, my laptop, and even my iphone (app available from the app store).

One of the best-kept-secrets out there. :)

I still use the free version because I didn’t reach the limit. This is most probably because I don’t have all my files uploaded yet, but I am planning to move everything to Dropbox soon.

It’s a great application and everyone can get a free account.

I signed up through the link. I use Mozy for backups, but I could really use a decent file repository, too. Thanks, Eugen!

I just became a huge fan of Dropbox when I tested it yesterday, the client application that lets you treat a local folder as your “dropbox folder” is brilliant and the simplicity is something that Microsoft Live Skydrive lacks, even though Skydrive gives you 25GB for free compared to Dropboxes 2GB
